To support our rapid growth across multiple countries, we are looking for an HR Director who will help shape the foundations of our people, culture, and organizational identity.
This is a pivotal leadership role reporting to the COO, combining strategic influence with hands-on involvement across our Dutch and Irish Operating Companies. You will help define our culture, strengthen alignment across teams, and build modern HR processes that support a young, fast-expanding international organization.

The Role
The HR Director plays a central role in defining One Frio’s culture, building a unified organization across countries, and implementing strong HR foundations. You will guide growth, professionalization, and change while ensuring a consistent, people-first approach across all sites.
Your responsibilities span organizational culture, strategic HR planning, leadership development, performance management, and collaboration with local HR teams in the Netherlands and Ireland. This role requires both strategic leadership and hands-on engagement in an evolving, international environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Culture, Identity & Organizational Development
Define and embed One Frio’s core values across all entities.
Strengthen connection and collaboration between teams across multiple sites and countries.
Build a shared identity as the group transitions from family businesses to an integrated European platform.
Lead initiatives that shape culture, engagement, and employee experience.
2. HR Strategy & Foundations
Develop an integrated HR strategy for a growing international organization.
Design and implement modern HR processes including:
Performance management
Compensation & benefits
Talent development
Training and safety programs
Culture assessment and workforce planning
Introduce tools, frameworks, and best practices that support scalable growth.
3. Leadership Support & Strategic Partnership
Act as a sparring partner to the COO and executive team.
Support operational leadership with both day-to-day HR matters and long-term people strategy.
Guide managers through growth, change, and professionalization.
4. Cross-Country Collaboration
Work closely with local HR teams in the Netherlands and Ireland to ensure alignment and consistency.
Coordinate processes, share best practices, and strengthen HR capabilities across all sites.
Maintain strong visibility and engagement—spending time on-site and building relationships across the organization.
5. Compliance, Safety & Development
Strengthen processes related to safety, onboarding, training, and development.
Ensure alignment with local legislation and Group HR standards.
Promote an environment of continuous improvement, learning, and well-being.

One Frio was formed through the integration of several long-established family businesses:
Grolleman Coldstore Group, Nedcool, Coenen Boxmeer (Netherlands), and McCulla (Ireland).
Together, these companies form the foundation of a rapidly expanding European network for chilled and frozen food storage, repacking, and distribution. From freezing and storage to packaging and transport, One Frio provides end-to-end temperature-controlled logistics solutions.

Role Requirements
Experience & Skills
Proven experience in HR leadership within a multi-site or international environment.
Strong background in culture building, organizational development, and modern HR practices.
Experience developing HR frameworks, performance processes, and leadership programs.
Ability to balance strategic direction with hands-on operational involvement.
Strong communicator with influence across all levels of the organization.
Comfortable working in a fast-scaling, entrepreneurial, non-corporate environment.
