Economic & Social Prosperity
Business growth, stable jobs, and people have access to opportunities.

Our facilities are designed and operated to the highest standards, including BREEAM-certified builds and energy-efficient systems. Each site integrates large-scale solar generation and advanced cooling technology that significantly reduces energy consumption. Every future expansion will meet or exceed these sustainability benchmarks - ensuring growth is always responsible.
Just as importantly, we invest in our people. Through continuous training and development, our teams work safely, efficiently, and with a mindset of constant improvement.

Across our logistics network, we’re investing heavily in cleaner, smarter transport. In Ireland, a large share of our fleet now runs on biogas produced by our own anaerobic digestion plant - creating a direct link between our logistics and renewable local energy. The same plant powers our Lisburn warehouses, closing the loop between energy production and operations.
We also operate fully electric forklifts and are expanding the electrification of our wider fleet. With intelligent route planning and driver training focused on efficiency, we cut emissions, reduce fuel use, and extend vehicle life - creating a logistics chain that’s both high-performing and sustainable.

Operational integrity sits at the core of One Frio. Our teams maintain the highest standards of food safety, health & safety, reliability, and compliance, supported by rigorous internal audits and international certifications.
We are equally focused on reducing our environmental footprint and food waste across the supply chain. By empowering our people, listening to their ideas, and fostering a culture of accountability and care, we’re building a stronger, greener organization ready for the future.

Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. We deliver premium, tailored cold storage solutions built on trust and exceptional local service - contributing to efficient and resilient food supply chains. Every decision we make balances customer needs with responsible action for the environment and society. We are committed to playing our part and making a meaningful contribution to a more sustainable future.
Our sustainability strategy aligns with the broader global agenda. We actively support several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and integrate them into our operations:

We are working towards developing a detailed net zero roadmap by taking clear, practical steps. Our first priority is to measure our carbon footprint, establish baseline data, and set a target date - currently aligned with a goal of achieving net zero by 2040. As part of this roadmap, we will enhance energy efficiency by upgrading buildings, transitioning to electric equipment, and adopting smart technologies. We will shift to renewable energy sources, including solar panels and certified green electricity. Our strategy also includes reducing waste, lowering water consumption, and committing to zero landfill. In addition, we will collaborate with suppliers to reduce emissions across our entire supply chain. We are committed to reporting our progress transparently and on a regular basis.
We are committed to developing state-of-the-art warehouses that incorporate smart design and advanced automation, significantly reducing energy consumption compared to traditional cold storage facilities. Our goal is to deliver top-tier storage solutions while using considerably less power, achieved through superior insulation and optimised cooling systems.
Precise temperature control helps prevent spoilage, resulting in less food waste and more reliable deliveries. By maintaining optimal conditions for every pallet, we support a more efficient and resilient food supply chain.
Business growth, stable jobs, and people have access to opportunities.
Operations, infrastructure, and people are safe and ready.
Enabling clean technologies and efficient resource use.
Aligning prosperity with climate goals and resource efficiency.
Reaching net-zero by 2040 is ambitious, but we have a clear plan to get there. Key steps include:

Our goal is to operate using clean energy, prioritising renewable sources wherever and whenever possible. We will actively source renewable energy and deploy a range of on-site technologies—such as photovoltaic panels and heat pumps—to power our operations.
We are phasing out fossil fuels in our operations as part of our electrification strategy. This includes the installation of electric forklifts, warehouse vehicles, and machinery. Our goal is to transition towards a fully low-carbon, electrically powered warehouse solution.
We aim to harness advanced automation, smart design, and cutting-edge technology to optimise energy use and achieve ultra-efficient operations. High-density storage and enhanced cooling systems will help reduce power consumption by leveraging the best available solutions. Our teams will focus on continuous improvement, actively seeking innovative ways to drive energy efficiency across all areas of the business
We are committed to transitioning to an electric fleet over time. Wherever feasible, we will adopt electric vehicles to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels. In parallel, we will innovate in fleet design and logistics to maximise energy efficiency and operational performance.

We put people first. Our aim is to provide all employees and contractors with an inclusive and safe working environment. We are committed to upholding rigorous standards in food safety, environmental responsibility, and quality. Wherever we operate, we support local communities by creating employment opportunities and fostering meaningful partnerships.

We are committed to leading with integrity and transparency. As a baseline, we will implement robust governance standards to ensure full compliance with local and national regulations. We will maintain open and honest communication with stakeholders, supported by regular sustainability assessments and outreach initiatives. Our goal is to build a trusted brand reputation grounded in ethical conduct and responsible business practices.

We operate our warehouses with environmental impact front of mind. We will implement a low-carbon, energy-efficient strategy across our warehousing, logistics operations and strategic locations(near producers and markets). Our water strategy will focus on reducing consumption, while our waste strategy will begin with a commitment to zero landfill and progress up the waste hierarchy—ensuring that reuse and reworking become standard practice.
