The Role
We're building our regional IT leadership team, and we're looking for a Regional IT Manager to own IT service delivery across a portfolio of operating companies in The Netherlands - leading local IT teams, directing service providers, delivering system change, and shaping how our Group IT function grows.
The Regional IT Manager will run IT across a multi-site logistics business, help decide what gets built or upgraded next, and sit at the table where our Group IT direction gets set. Based in Amsterdam and reporting to the Group IT Director. This is a role for an experienced IT operations professional ready to step up - someone who wants to keep leading and delivering on the ground, while also having a genuine voice in how the Group's IT function is shaped.
What you will do
Own IT operational continuity across your portfolio of sites, whatever the local delivery model
Lead and develop local IT staff, and direct local IT service providers where no dedicated resource is in place
Vendor Management by management the people and partners who deliver IT across your region
Act as the regional escalation point for IT incidents, resolving what you can and escalating the rest to our central specialists
Play a hands-on role in IT system implementation and upgrade projects in your region — from requirements through go-live
System Delivery, Improvement & Prioritisation as you play an active role in delivering system change in your region and shaping what gets prioritised next. Translate business needs into clear requirements, including hands-on functional analysis and design work with internal and external specialist support
Roll out Group IT, compliance and security standards across your region, and lead the practical onboarding of newly acquired companies
Sit on our Group IT leadership team, contributing regional insight to our overall direction, roadmap, and priorities
Track service KPIs - uptime, resolution times, SLA adherence - and report on the health of your region
What you will bring
4+ years in IT operations, service delivery, or IT management, ideally across multi-site or multi-entity environments
Experience managing IT through a mixed model - direct reports, contractors, and external service providers - and holding all three accountable
Experience contributing to or leading IT system implementation, upgrade, or replacement projects
People management experience: recruitment, development, and performance management of IT staff
Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, and the Microsoft Defender stack
Solid networking and security fundamentals - LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, firewalls, endpoint security
Familiarity with core business systems - WMS, TMS, CRM, and ERP - and how they connect via APIs and EDI
Strong ITIL or equivalent service management practice, and comfort building business cases and budgets
Working understanding of data security and privacy practices (e.g. GDPR, NIS2) as they apply to regional IT operations
Comfortable building business cases and budgets to support resourcing and investment decisions
Basic awareness of practical AI and automation tools as they apply to IT service delivery is a plus
A decisive, hands-on operator who pushes back when needed and communicates clearly at every level, including with senior leadership
