One Frio acquires HK Logistics and Kloostrans
One Frio, the pan-European temperature-controlled logistics company, has acquired HK Logistics and Kloostrans, a family-owned food logistics business in Zelhem, the Netherlands. The acquisition adds more than fifty years of operational expertise to the One Frio platform and strengthens its position as a best-in-class operator in the Dutch market.

A best-in-class food logistics operator
Founded in 1973 and built over five decades by the Van ’t Klooster family, HK Logistics is one of the most respected food logistics operators in the Netherlands. From its facilities in Zelhem, it provides temperature-controlled and ambient storage, blast freezing, tempering, value-added logistics, customs warehousing, and transport for customers across the food sector.
Its strength in dairy logistics and integrated supply chain management has earned it long-term relationships with producers in the Netherlands and internationally. Fifty years of family ownership has produced a culture of operational excellence and reliability that One Frio rates among the best in the sector.
Adding expertise to the One Frio platform
The acquisition adds proven operational capability, experienced people, and deep food logistics expertise to the One Frio platform. HK Logistics strengthens One Frio’s Dutch operations and extends the depth of capability available to customers across the wider network.
“HK Logistics is a best-in-class operator and exactly the kind of business we built One Frio to bring together. Over fifty years the Van ’t Klooster family has built rare expertise in food and dairy logistics and a reputation for operational excellence. Adding that capability to the platform makes One Frio stronger, and we will back the team to keep doing their best work.”

A proven integration capability
HK Logistics is One Frio’s seventh acquisition since March 2025. Each one has strengthened a disciplined integration model that brings new businesses onto a single operating standard quickly, while protecting the operational excellence and customer relationships that made them successful.
“Integration is how this platform is built. We’ve completed seven acquisitions in fourteen months and refined a repeatable model that combines operational excellence with speed. HK Logistics fits that model precisely, and we expect to integrate it quickly.”
Dami Agbaje
Co-Founder & CFO, One Frio
The next chapter for a family business
For Robert-Jan and Michael van ’t Klooster, the second generation of family ownership, choosing the right long-term partner mattered as much as the transaction itself.
“Choosing the right partner for the next chapter mattered to us as much as the deal itself. One Frio understands family businesses and shares our commitment to our customers and our people. We’re confident that the relationships we’ve built over fifty years, and the team behind them, are in good hands.”
Robert-Jan van ’t Klooster
CEO, HK Logistics
Continuity for customers and employees
Integration begins immediately after completion. Drawing on the model applied across six previous acquisitions, One Frio expects to bring HK Logistics onto its operating platform quickly, with the transition managed so customers see no disruption.
Existing leadership stays in place through the transition, and customers keep the same teams and points of contact. Over time, HK Logistics gains the operating standards, expertise, and investment of a best-in-class European platform, while keeping the local service culture that has defined it for fifty years.
Building Europe’s leading cold chain platform
The acquisition strengthens One Frio’s position as a leading temperature-controlled logistics operator in Europe. As the platform grows, investment stays focused on selective acquisitions, organic capacity expansion, and the operational excellence that defines best-in-class food logistics infrastructure.
